Facts about Cellulite

Cellulite is a word used for the formation of lumps and dimples in the skin. It is basically a process in which the skin has dimpled, lumpy appearance. It usually affects the buttocks and thighs but can appear in other areas. Cellulite occurs when a stake of fat pushes through the connective tissue beneath the skin. Basically, cellulite affects both men and women but it is usually found in females due to different distributions of fat, muscle, and connective tissue.
There are some common names for cellulite which are as follows:
Orange-peel skin,
Cottage-cheese skin,
Hail damage,
The mattress phenomenon


Cellulite Grades

There are three types of Grades

Grade 1 cellulite: In this grade, we use to get smooth skin while laying down and standing up

Grade 2 cellulite: In this grade, we use to have smooth skin while laying down, but some dimpling appear while standing.

Grade 3 cellulite: In this grade, Dimpling appears while we are standing and laying down.


Causes of Cellulite
The cause of cellulite is hidden, but it is found from the  result that connectivity between the connective tissue in the dermatological the layer which lies under the surface of the skin, and the layer of fat is just under it.
In women, the fat cell and connective tissue in the layer are arranged vertically. The appearance of cellulite is seen when the fat cell pokes into the layer of skin.In Men, the tissue has a criss-cross structure which explains to us why are less likely to have cellulite than women.


Prevention:

A healthy diet and active lifestyle help us to minimize the appearance of cellulite. If we maintain a healthy body weight it will help us to minimize the severity of dimpling which shows up on our thighs or abdomen. If we do muscle toning exercises for the thighs and belly it will help us to shape the areas where cellulite appears and making it less noticeable.
